Mechanic doing AC repair of the truck at Absolute Repair

At Absolute Repair, we understand that air conditioning is not just a luxury, but a necessity to keep heavy-duty truck operators comfortable and happy during their long hours on the road. Truck drivers can spend weeks at a time in their trucks delivering products across North America and we want our customers to be as comfortable as possible while doing their critical work.

It’s not uncommon for some repair shops to treat air conditioning repairs as low-priority work, but Absolute Repair is not one of those shops. Our certified technicians pride ourselves on bringing solutions to operators and fleet managers, especially when it comes to complicated HVAC system maintenance and performance. We view every problem as an opportunity to find a solution and to make our customers happy.

When to seek out service

It’s normal, almost expected, for heating and A/C systems to become clogged or leaky with regular use. This impacts their efficiency, your comfort, and the overall cost-effectiveness of your vehicle.

The air smells damp like mildew and/or mould

If you notice an odd smell coming from your A/C unit it may be a sign that it’s clogged and moisture is being retained somewhere in your vehicle. This can cause permanent damage over time so make sure to get it serviced right away.

Your windows are not defrosting quickly

Excess moisture buildup in your cabin can be caused by a clogged A/C unit. If you have trouble defrosting or defogging your windows, please speak to an expert.

Weak airflow at the highest fan setting

When the AC filters are clogged with dirt, dust, and debris, the airflow through the vents in your home may be reduced, lowering the efficiency of your air conditioning system.

If you’re noticing any of these issues or that your truck’s struggling to manage heating, cooling or ventilation you can call on us. Whatever the weather, we’ve got you covered. Our technicians recognize that there are many possible issues that can arise with a heavy-duty truck’s HVAC system, and these can often be challenging to diagnose. Using industry-advanced technology, our team of trained mechanics can quickly and accurately identify your HVAC system issues before making any repairs or recommendations.

What Our Customers are saying About Us

★★★★★

While on vacation recently we unfortunately encountered a broken axle on our travel trailer. Being from out of town and the fact that it was a Sunday evening we had no idea who to call for repair. The tow truck driver recommended Absolute Repair and we were towed to that facility. The tow truck driver notified the owner of Absolute Repair that we were in their parking lot. On Monday morning we were greeted by Andrew who evaluated the situation. Peter (the owner) and Andrew were very easy to work with and kept us informed of their efforts to secure a new axle. Once they had the axle they worked quickly and diligently to put the new axle on the trailer and we were back on the road late Monday afternoon. Peter himself worked with another tech to complete the repair. Peter and Andrew are both very knowledgeable, explaining in detail the repair, as well as being concerned for our comfort and offering us the use of their lounge. The repair price was very reasonable. Andrew even placed a follow up call to us the next day to make sure everything was fine with the trailer. We cannot speak highly enough of this company and would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. Our sincere thanks to Peter and Andrew for assisting us and getting us back on the road so quickly.
