Truck Axle Repair Service in Cumming, Iowa

Axle Repair Service in Cumming at Absolute Repair

Every truck, RV and bus need axles in order to operate properly. The axles are essential components that serve to conduct the power that causes the wheels of your vehicle to turn. The axle is a rod or shaft that rotates the wheels and supports your heavy-duty vehicle’s weight. Certain things, such as clocking many miles, dealing with potholes and poor road conditions, covering uneven surfaces and hauling heavy loads can all contribute to strain on your axle. If your truck’s axle is damaged, it runs the risk of separating or jamming while you are driving. As a result, your axle should be monitored for misalignment and straightened from time to time in order to ensure that your truck is operating as efficiently as possible. At Absolute Repair, you can rely on our certified, honest technicians to maintain your vehicle’s axle so that you can enjoy a smoother ride and a longer vehicle lifespan.

Signs of axle damage or misalignment

  • Wobbly wheels
  • Steering less responsive and not level while driving
  • The steering wheel is slow to return to center after making a turn
  • Vibrations in your wheel that increase at higher speeds
  • Pulling to the left or right while driving

There are quite a few ways that you can tell if your vehicle’s axle is damaged or misaligned. Some of these signs may be small, and as such can be easy to either ignore or miss altogether. When you bring your truck to Absolute Repair, our technicians will work with you to help identify potential signs of axle trouble so that future, larger problems, can be avoided.

What Our Customers are saying About Us

★★★★★

While on vacation recently we unfortunately encountered a broken axle on our travel trailer. Being from out of town and the fact that it was a Sunday evening we had no idea who to call for repair. The tow truck driver recommended Absolute Repair and we were towed to that facility. The tow truck driver notified the owner of Absolute Repair that we were in their parking lot. On Monday morning we were greeted by Andrew who evaluated the situation. Peter (the owner) and Andrew were very easy to work with and kept us informed of their efforts to secure a new axle. Once they had the axle they worked quickly and diligently to put the new axle on the trailer and we were back on the road late Monday afternoon. Peter himself worked with another tech to complete the repair. Peter and Andrew are both very knowledgeable, explaining in detail the repair, as well as being concerned for our comfort and offering us the use of their lounge. The repair price was very reasonable. Andrew even placed a follow up call to us the next day to make sure everything was fine with the trailer. We cannot speak highly enough of this company and would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. Our sincere thanks to Peter and Andrew for assisting us and getting us back on the road so quickly.
